What kind of Grants can I apply for?How do I go about it? Please help a young girl trying to further her ed!?

I've just recent moved to another stated. The state that I'm in requires I lived here for 12mths=1yr in order to be a resident. The dilemma is I do not want to have to wait a yr to go to college,so I may have to pay out-of-state fees! I applied for financial Aid but I'm sure I need more money to cover the other half of my tuition.

You can apply for both grants and scholarships to help you pay for that expensive tuition. They are great sources of free money that you don't have to pay back. You can read about them here:

Here are some sites that offer grants and scholarships:

if you have received the fin aid money you have now through fafsa, there really is no more to be had. you might try for some of these little scholarships or you can take out student loans.
The above answers have good suggestions. But just a word of advise. Just because you have lived in that state a year doesn't mean you will stop being charged out of state tuition. Usually, if you are a student, you can't count that time towards your states residency.

Good Luck.
