How do you apply penicl eyeliner to the top and bottom of your eyes?

As a makeup artist I only like appying eyeliner at the top. But it depends on how you like it. But with liquid I only apply at the top, if its pencil I will apply at the top and bottom, when I apply it at the bottom i start in the middle to the corner. So here are some tips to follow.





Shape and define your eyes with eyeliner after you've applied eye shadow and before applying mascara. Whether you choose a soft line or a dramatic stroke, eyeliner draws attention.





Tips:





Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow.





Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.





Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately.





Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen.





Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.





Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.





If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

carefully! My mom used to warm hers up with a lighter first, then draw it on so it was thick. You want to draw it on very carefully, dont start too close to the corner of your eye. On the bottom, they say youre supposed to draw it under your eyelashes. I use liquid cause it goes on smoother!
First make sure you have a wax based liner like Urban Decay. it goes on smooth and if you are inexperienced, it won't feel like you're gonna poke your eye out. Then just hold you bottom lid down slightly and glide across it with the pencil. For the top, I usually hold it so it's smooth with my free hand. With the other glide it across the top lid as close to the lashes as humanly possible. It's also helpful to have some q-tips around in case your line is uneven. If you make a mistake, wet the tip of it with you tongue and erase. Good luck.

liquid eyeliner is the best for top but i still use pencil eyeliner for the top.

for the bottom I look up and apply the eyeliner, then I smudge it along with a Q-Tip

This is definatly difficult! Try using your finger to close one eye shut, and then with the other hand steadily do the top of the eyelid. Then swich eyes. It may take a while to get it perfect, so have some makeup remover ready! Good luck!


oh, and for color, I personaly think if you have blue eyes, use black eyeliner, and for brown eyes, use brown eyeliner.

and the same on the bottom, but more in some places depending on what you like.
this is how i do it: for the bottom i kinda pull it down doing the inside i dont know what thats called and on the top i do the tight linner tecnique sorry i cant explain it well enough try searching it on youtube
