How to properly apply for a job to a clothing store?

Hi. I'm applying for a clothing store job and am wondering how to properly apply in person. I have a resume. What to say when i walk in? How to make a good impression on them? A girl I know works there is that bad or good?

G'day ... first, dress appropriately ... that is the first impression they get ... nothing too flashy, no gum, no ipod earbuds, turn off your cell ...etc ...





Answer only the questions they ask you, don't talk too much, get to the point and only offer strong points (like past experience, your likes, hobbies, etc).





Do not bring up the fact that you know someone that works there, unless the interviewer brings it up ... always be honest.





Be flexible on the hours/shift they give you ... the more accommodating you are, the better your chances ...
